Wow!!! Does it seem real to you?? I'M VERY EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT "THE DIRTIES ON DIAPERING" HAS REACHED FUNDING GOAL!! That means in only days I will begin my journey, gathering all of the information and photos I can to compile into a full color photo journalism book on why cloth diapering is so very important for everyone! I will be going to see landfills, hospitals, labs, moms, & more! I will also be utilizing my studio to help show many different types of diapers and how to use them, wash them, travel with them, & more!
I want to throw out a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has been supporting me the entire way! Everyone from Round 1 to Round 3, from $1 to $1000. Every bit adds up!! I even had many amazing people who helped me spread the word about this project that were unable to pledge -- but I know that many of those pledges were because of those amazing people that helped share what The Dirties on Diapering is all about! So THANK YOU THANK THANK YOU THANK YOU! I can't say it enough!!
Cloth Diaper Companies! Many of you have suddenly become more interested in my project now that you know it's going to happen! I am so excited about cloth diapers, and as you know, that's what this project is all about! Many companies are asking about sending diapers to be in the book. Most of the content inside this book will be based on journalism -- so the diapers that appear in much of the content of this book will be whatever happens to be there when I go out to gather information & shoot photos. There will of course be sections where I will show different types of diapers and how to use them, wash them, etc... but I feel because this book was launched because of amazing sponsors and supporters, if a sponsor's diaper is able to show the information I am trying to share I will choose their diaper first. That doesn't mean I won't show diapers from non-sponsor companies, it just means I'm not doing any deals/promises beyond what I have written in the rewards section of my Kickstarter page. That being said, there are sponsor levels from $1 and up -- you can read them all along the right side of this webpage: http://kck.st/hvm3LT ...and funding will still continue for the next couple of days. And green companies of all kinds might be interested in looking so they can be a part of the book's amazing company directory!
THANK YOU AGAIN TO EVERYONE! I will continue to answer questions and post blogs! In fact, this is the blog to follow to keep updated on my progress with the project the whole way!
Sincererly,
Jamie Wilkinson

Children's photography with a purpose! The Dirties on Diapering is a photo journalism project aimed to raise awareness about disposable vs cloth diapering. This project will be published into a coffee table style photo book -- I hope by the end of the summer or start of fall. Using journalist style photos to display my concerns about disposables, along with some to show how chic and easy cloth is today, more parents may realize cloth is the best choice for them too!
