I will be giving away lots of different green products, including diapers, along the way!  So get your pledges in today to be eligible for drawings!  Every backer gets one entry every giveaway automatically!  Even just $1 will qualify you!  You can make your pledge here:

We Have Re-Launched!

I am excited to announce that "The Dirties on Diapering" Kickstarter project is re-launched!!!  Please note that the web address is different than the first time around.  You can find the new project here:  If you pledged the first time around, you will need to re-pledge.  Because funding was not successful the first time around, all pledges were void and nobody was charged.  Also, the sooner you get your pledges in, the more chances you will have to win giveaways!  I will be doing giveaways throughout the funding process this time to backers!  Each giveaway backers will receive one entry no matter how big or small their pledge!  I will also write a bit about each product and giveaway here on my blog.  If you are a green company interested in giving away a product to promote your item and my project, I would love to hear from you!  Shoot me an email (Jamie) at  Thank you everyone for your continued support!

I am seeking green companies interested in donating products to give away throught the funding process for "The Dirties on Diapering."  Anything cloth diaper related would be wonderful, even if it's something small.  Other types of green companies excited to help the cause are also welcome too!  I want to give away gifts to random pledgers throughout the pledge-raising process in order to motivate people to pledge sooner rather than later.  I had a huge following at the end of my time and feel this will help make my photo-journalism project more successful!
If interested, you can email me (Jamie Wilkinson) at
Or my mailing address is 2911 SE 147th Ave., Portland, OR 97236 if you want to send me any goodies.  I'll take pictures of anything I receive and post it to my blog!
Thank you again for everyone's support!

I started working on a slide-show video today between kids and household chores.  I'm just getting the basic facts that I want to put out there into text slides and then I'll try to add some photos in between once I have down what I'm saying.  I'm getting excited about launch number two!  I had so many supporters there at the end, so this time I will have more from the beginning!  Thank you again everyone! The Basic Concept

"The Dirties on Diapering" is a project I am trying to fund through, a web site devoted to funding artistic and creative projects. I want to create a photo-journalism style coffee table book using my photography skills to capture the realities behind diapering. I have also been a writer and producer for a couple of different news stations in the Portland and Eugene areas before I became "mom," so I feel my journalism skills are adequate to take on the task! I want to use the book to help more mothers choose cloth diapering for their babies. The majority of moms do use disposables and this has to change. I want to try to show visually the damages disposables are doing to the planet, the risks moms are taking with their baby's health, the money parents would save in the long run, some history behind the disposable diaper, and of course how easy and cute cloth diapering is today! Many moms still have visions of pre-folds and rubber pants when they think of cloth. We have come a long way! If anyone has any ideas to throw out there, please share. This project will be funded by all of you and I would love your input! Thank you! Tweet This

The Dirties on Diapering -- Round 2!

I am creating this blog to help me during the Round 2 launch of "The Dirties on Diapering" Kickstarter project! I had a lot of people and businesses grasp at the excitement of the idea during Round 1, but I think my lack of detail and lack of helping people be part of the planning is what maybe deterred some people from pledging before. I want to use this blog as a way to connect with people, let them know what I'm working on, and let people have input into the project... since they're the ones funding it! So... here we go! Let's begin planning for the launch of Round 2! Tweet This
